Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Track a DHL Package Without a Tracking Number?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to track your package without a tracking number. However, you can contact the merchant/online storefront and ask for the tracking number. They will have it, as they are the ones shipping the package. If purchasing from an online storefront or online merchant, check your email for your shipping or purchase confirmation, as the tracking number may be there. You may have also received additional SMS confirmation with the tracking number from DHS or your merchant/online storefront.

Does Circuit Offer Better Tracking Than DHL?

Within just a few seconds, you can track your DHL package anywhere in the world at any time from start to finish with Circuit. You can even track your packages movements internationally after shipment. This is especially easy with the Circuit Package Tracker app, which allows you to track your package on the go at any time. You can track all your packages in one spot, even packages shipping from different couriers on different days, or shipping internationally, at the click of a button. Circuit knows how important it is for you to know where your valuable package is at all times.

How Late Does DHL Deliver?

DHL delivers from 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday in the United States, with weekend or holiday delivery services with additional costs and fees. In non-U.S. countries, DHL delivers 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday, with no option for delivery on national holidays. However, DHL may ship your package to another courier service in your area who may deliver earlier or later depending on their local hours. This may also vary if your address is residential or commercial. UPS, for example, may deliver as late as 7 PM in residential areas but may deliver as late as 9 PM for a commercial address.

How Long Does It Usually Take to Deliver an International Package with DHL?

With the DHL Parcel International Standard shipping, it will take 1-2 weeks for your package to arrive once the merchant or online storefront has shipped it. However, if you choose DHL Parcel International Direct, their express service, it will take 3-10 days for your package to arrive from the ship date. You can track your DHL shipment at Circuit Package Tracker. Shipping may be delayed by weather events, customs, or operational backlogs and may vary depending on country of origin and country of delivery.

How Long Will DHL Hold a Package?

If DHL is unable to deliver your package to your door on their second attempt at delivery, they will hold your package for 7 days at your local DHL sorting center and will send you a reminder that they have your package at the 3 days mark. However, after 7 days of holding they will notify you that they are returning the package to the sender. After your package has been returned to the sender, you will have to contact the merchant or online retailer for more information.

How Do I Sign for a DHL Package?

In many cases, you may not need to sign for your DHL package at all. If you are required to sign, such as for medical supplies or high-value items, the courier at your door will have all you need to sign. Most likely, you will sign electronically on their device, to keep an electronic record of your signature confirming you have received your package. If your package needs to be signed for and you are not home, DHL couriers will leave a note at your door informing you that they have missed you and that they will attempt again tomorrow. On the second try, they will hold your package at the nearest DHL sorting center for you to pick up and sign for, at which point you have 7 days to pick up your package.

How Do I Track a DHL Package with Circuit?

Simply go to Circuit Package Tracker and enter your tracking number in the white box and hit enter. No need to even enter your courier’s name or know it, Circuit Tracker will do the work for you and in seconds you will know the location of your valuables. This works on both national and international packages, no matter your home country. You can also use our mobile app, the Circuit Package Tracker, for package tracking on the go, no matter where you are or your package origins.

What Do I Do if I Haven’t Received My Package from DHL?

If you have not received your package from DHL, contact DHL customer service whether by email, telephone, or online chat. Please keep in mind, however, that delivery times can vary by destination, weather events, and other shipping delay events. You may have also missed your package off, in which case you should check for a note on your door. DHL asks that you wait until 5 business days after the scheduled arrival time before contacting their customer service.

What Happens if DHL Loses My Package?

In the case DHL loses your package, you will have to contact their customer service either online, by phone, or by email to file a damage notification. From there, the service representative will walk you through the steps you need to take to find your package or get reimbursed. DHL packages come with insurance with the service, but the amount will depend on if you have chosen their regular or express service. For more information on DHL package insurance, visit DHL’s insurance webpage.

What Happens if I Miss My DHL Package?

If you miss your DHL delivery, your delivery driver will leave a card informing you that you have missed your delivery and that they will try again the next business day. However, if they miss you the second day, they will leave another card informing you that you will have to pick up your parcel at your nearest DHL sorting center within 7 days. They will send you a reminder after 3 days that they have your package. If you are unable to pick up your package after the 7 days mark, they will notify you that they are returning the package to the sender. After the package has been returned to the sender, you will have to contact the merchant or online storefront with further questions and information.

Where Is My DHL Package?

You can find your DHL package by entering your tracking number into the search box at Circuit Package Tracker or by using our app of the same name. Keep in mind packages arriving from an international merchant or online storefront may take several weeks to arrive, depending on the country of origin and country of delivery. For lost or damaged packages, please contact DHL customer service to report the loss or damage. However, DHL asks that you wait until 5 business days after the scheduled delivery date to report the package lost or stolen.

Where Is My DHL Package Tracking Number?

The online shop or merchant will have the package tracking number and you may need to contact them if you have not received your tracking number. If you ordered from an online merchant or shop, the tracking number will be in an email sent to you to either confirm the shipment or the purchase. However, if you ordered from a physical storefront, you may have to reach out to that storefront for more information. You may also receive additional SMS notifications with your tracking number in them.

Why Is My DHL Package Not Moving?

Most shipments only have milestone tracking, meaning your shipment will still be moving towards you, it just has not reached its next milestone. For international shipments, it may take longer for the package to reach its destination depending on the service chosen and country of origin. Shipments can also be delayed by operational backlogs, weather events, or customs. If your package has not arrived after 5 days of the expected delivery date, please contact DHL customer service to report a lost package.

Why Is My DHL Package Pending?

When ordering from a merchant or online shop, if the merchant has not shipped the package yet, it will appear as pending until they ship it. Once shipped, you will be able to track your package’s movements. If your package is pending longer than is necessary or you have further questions, contact your merchant or online retailer for more information. Keep in mind if you have ordered on a DHL non-delivery day, it also means they are not processing orders for shipment and there may be a delay in shipping your package.
