DHL Express is an international courier service offering expedited mail and package deliveries. There are over 1400 DHL offices and warehouses globally, and DHL Express can deliver to 220 countries and territories. DHL is a division of its German parent company, Deutsche Post, the largest courier company in the world.
The history of DHL Express goes back to 1969. The name "DHL" is an abbreviation of Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn, the company's three founders. DHL started as a document delivery service restricted to the west coast of the US, delivering documents to San Francisco, other parts of California, and Hawaii.
Today, DHL is one of the most prominent delivery services in the world. DHL Express only delivers internationally and stands out for offering urgent and expedited deliveries with a maximum delivery time of five days, rather than up to three weeks. DHL can deliver mail and individual packages that weigh up to 70 kg (154 pounds).
If you’re sending or waiting for a package with DHL Express and you want to know exactly where it is, try Circuit Package Tracker for free.
While DHL Express works to deliver your valuable items, you can trust Circuit Package Tracker to keep accurate tabs on the location of your packages. Waiting to receive a package can be stressful. Likewise, after sending something meaningful to a friend or loved one, it can be tough to deal with slow, unreliable and glitchy DHL package tracking.
With Circuit Package Tracker, you can enjoy dependable package tracking and plan your day without worry. Circuit shows you exactly where your package is at any moment. You can also see your package's shipment history, when it's left customs when it's reached the destination country, and other valuable information.
Circuit is also working on an app you can check when you're on the go. This will reassure you of your package's location while you're not at home. Circuit helps you avoid missing your delivery, which can lead to theft or a neighbor mistaking your package for their own.
It is tough to track your package without your DHL Express tracking number. That's why it's a good idea to contact the seller or shipper to get it. It may be possible to use a reference number to track your DHL Express package, but it's less reliable and may not work correctly.
DHL Express tracking can often freeze or fail to show you updated progress, as many couriers are overworked and busy. Sometimes, DHL also needs to transfer the updating responsibilities to your local post office. Circuit offers all of this information in a more concise way than DHL Express tracking.
Circuit gives reliable tracking updates and focuses entirely on the shipment and delivery process. DHL Express will get your package to you, but you should use Circuit to regularly check in on the status of your delivery.
DHL Express delivers packages between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. If you can't commit to being home on the day your package is out for delivery, DHL Express will make another attempt the next business day. They will also leave you a "notice of delivery" card.
It depends on a few things. For instance, delivery from Canada to the United States won't take as long as delivery from China to Canada. Depending on the origin location and the destination, you can expect to receive your DHL Express package within five days.
If you are not at home when DHL Express attempts delivery, your package will be sent to a DHL ServicePoint. A DHL ServicePoint will hold your package for seven days. They will try to deliver your package again, but it may be easier for you to pick it up.
If you have chosen the option of needing a signature to deliver your DHL Express package, you should stay home, if you can, on the day it's out for delivery. Requiring a signature is an excellent choice if a package is particularly valuable, but it's not a DHL Express requirement.
Another way to set your mind at ease is to request a telephone confirmation of delivery from DHL.
As long as you have your tracking number, you can use Circuit. Simply enter in your tracking number and select "DHL Express" from the list of couriers.
This depends on how long you've been waiting for your package. If the estimated delivery time has passed by a few days, you should wait patiently as there may be a short delay. Be sure to keep track of your DHL Express package using Circuit Package Tracker, as it will help reassure you that it's on the way.
If your package still hasn't arrived after a reasonable amount of time, you should follow these steps:
DHL's website suggests contacting the sender of your packages, such as an online store's customer service department or an individual seller. They can then reach out to DHL to investigate. It is both the seller's and DHL's responsibility if your items are missing, so it's best to get them working together on the issue.
DHL Express will leave you a card that states they've tried to deliver your package. The card will have a code that you need to enter into their track and trace service. It indicates where and when you should pick up your package.
You can also choose for DHL to attempt to deliver your package on the next business day. It's disappointing to know you've missed your delivery, but there are easy solutions.
Please note, you need a government-issued photo ID to pick up your package at a DHL ServicePoint. If someone is going to pick up your package for you, they will also need an ID. Some online retailers don't allow anyone besides the buyer to pick up packages, but they will tell you if that's the case.
DHL packages arrive between 8 am and 6 pm. DHL Express offers weekend delivery in some parts of the world. In Europe, DHL can deliver on Saturdays.
If Circuit tells you your package is "out for delivery," it may also give you an estimated time of arrival so you can plan your day around receiving your package. If it says it will be there by the end of the day, you can expect to get it before 8 pm.
If you're unsure where your package is during the delivery process, check Circuit Package Tracker for all of the information you need. Circuit provides information on everything from when your package has left the warehouse to moments before it's at your front door. These updates will ease your mind and help you relax until you get your package.
If you see on Circuit or in your email that your package has been delivered, but it's not there, it could be due to porch theft or an incorrect address. If you think someone has stolen your package, contact the seller immediately. DHL Express can also check if you've given the wrong address and if your package was sent to the wrong destination.
If you're the recipient, your DHL tracking number will be sent to you via email or SMS when the seller ships the package. It is a ten-digit number.
If you're sending a package, you can find the DHL tracking number on the electronic document given to you by DHL Express, next to the word "waybill."
This depends on if your package has not shipped at all, or if it has and it stopped moving. If your package won't ship, or you get a shipment confirmation with no movement, it could be due to an inventory issue with the store or seller. Retailers can often be burdened with too many orders and accidentally sell something they're out of.
If your DHL Express package has moved but suddenly stopped, it could be for many reasons. Circuit Package Tracker will let you know the reason for the delay, which may be any of the following:
A "shipment pending" status means that your package will be shipped soon. If your package is stuck on this status for too long, they may have the wrong information, or there has been a mix-up at a DHL facility. You should contact DHL customer service in this case.
